PreK Pre-K: Confident, Curious, and Ready for Kindergarten

Our Pre-K program builds on the foundation set in Preschool, guiding children toward independence, confidence, and kindergarten readiness. Using The Creative Curriculum® for Preschool, our teachers create hands-on, play-based experiences that nurture problem-solving, responsive listening, language growth, and strong social skills.

In Pre-K, children make significant developmental gains as they explore math, literacy, science, art, and social-emotional learning in deeper, more meaningful ways. Daily small-group instruction and purposeful activities give children the chance to practice new skills while still enjoying plenty of play and exploration.

Through engaging lessons, story time, creative projects, and group discussions, children strengthen vocabulary, build early reading and writing skills, and develop the focus and persistence they’ll need in kindergarten. With encouragement from our caring, educated teachers, children leave Pre-K with the knowledge, confidence, and love of learning that ensures a smooth and successful transition to school.

Every kid is a smart kid – that’s the philosophy behind everything we do at AcademyOne. At this age, the AcademyOne curriculum builds on your child’s cognitive, social and emotional needs in preparation for the very real differences of a kindergarten classroom. Aligned with standards set forth by national accrediting associations, this curriculum cultivates all the ways children are smart. Want proof? A recent kindergarten preparedness study showed that children in our program made substantial gains in development and had the necessary skills to enter and excel in kindergarten.

Ms. Dominique

Ms. Dominique has been in Early Childhood Education field since 2012 and holds her Child Development Associate (CDA) credential. The CDA is a nationally recognized certification that demonstrates her expertise in early childhood education and her commitment to the growth and development of the children in her care. Dominique’s passion for teaching shines through in everything she does. She loves to watch children grow, laugh, and play, and is dedicated to helping them develop social, emotional, and cognitive skills in a nurturing environment. Her students thrive under her care, benefiting from her ability to create meaningful connections and inspire a love of learning. Outside of work, Dominique enjoys spending quality time with her family, especially her husband and children. Fun fact: she has a beautiful singing voice, and we love to hear her sing with the children at school, bringing even more joy to their day. Dominique’s favorite quote is: “You have to train your mind to be stronger than your feelings, or else you will lose yourself.” This quote speaks to her resilience and her belief in the power of staying strong and focused, even when challenges arise.

Ms. Aryana

Ms. Aryana

Ms. Aryana has been a passionate educator in the early childhood education field since 2019. She has earned her Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, which represents a nationally recognized achievement demonstrating expertise in nurturing the emotional, physical, intellectual, and social development of young children. Currently, Aryana is advancing her education by pursuing a career as a Registered Nurse (RN), showcasing her dedication to caregiving and making a difference in people’s lives.

Aryana’s favorite aspect of working with children is the opportunity to build strong, meaningful bonds with them. She finds joy in being a positive presence during their formative years, believing that the connections she creates with each child help them feel valued and understood. An avid learner, Aryana loves reading and journaling, both of which inspire her creativity and curiosity. Her passion for continual growth and exploration shines through in her interactions with others, as she is always eager to share her enthusiasm for new ideas. Her favorite children’s book, Love You Forever by Robert Munsch, holds a special place in her heart for its enduring message of unconditional love. Aryana’s favorite quote, “I am not what I have been through, I am what I choose to become,” by Carl Jung, reflects her commitment to personal growth and resilience. She strives to instill these values in the children she works with, empowering them to embrace challenges and shape their futures with confidence and courage. Outside of her professional and academic pursuits, Aryana enjoys exploring new hobbies, connecting with nature, and creating lasting memories with loved ones. She believes that every moment offers an opportunity to learn and grow, making her a constant source of inspiration to those around her.
